Charles J. Watt, 65, of Pearl Street, New Haven, died Saturday, October 2, 2010 at CT Hospice in Branford. He was the son of the late Wilbur and Angelina (Coppola) Watt. Mr. Watt was born December 28, 1944 in Fort Pierce, FL. He graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in 1966 and served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnamese war. He was an art teacher in Bridgeport, CT public schools, and taught studio arts for over 25 years at Bassick High School, inspiring many young artists. He was highly regarded and dearly loved by his family, friends, students and neighbors.
He is survived by his sisters, Katherine M. Watt of Norwalk, CT, Jean M. Watt and Lynn Crevier of Northampton, MA, and his brother-in-law, Frank M. Belinske of Norwalk, CT, along with his nephews and niece, Frank M. Belinske, Jr., Matthew D. Belinske and Krista M. Brown.

Inc.) and sent to 446 University Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06604. The W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Branford is in charge of arrangements.
