Obituary

In Branford June 8, 2001 after a long illness, Edward J. Rudden, husband of Frances Grandel Rudden, of 20 Whitewood Dr., Branford, formerly of 46 Home Place.

Father of Betsy Rudden of Farmington, Sharon MacKinnel and John Rudden, both of Branford. Brother of Katherine Etzel of Guilford. Also survived by four grandchildren.

He was born July 13, 1915 in New York City, son of the late John J. and Catherine Monahan Rudden. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II serving in Bora Bora. He was a retired sales manager for Modern Equipment in New Haven and Max Landerman, Inc. in Hartford. He belonged to the American Legion Post 83 and the Knights of Columbus, Eldorado Council 10 in Branford. He was an avid Red Sox fan and he enjoyed stamp collecting.

Friends are invited to a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 10 AM in St. Mary Church Branford. There are no calling hours. In
lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford or the Branford Education Association Children’s Fund, c/o Mary R. Tisko School, 118 Damascus Rd., Branford, 06405.
