Elaine Bedard Yasevac, wife of the late Anthony "Yaz" Yasevac of Branford, died Monday December 8, 2014 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford.
Elaine was born May 25, 1928 in New Haven, CT, daughter of the late Alcide and Jessica Verboski Bedard. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church in Branford. Elaine worked as a credit manager for Echlin Corporation for many years. She was the co-owner of the Eel Pot Restaurant in Branford. She enjoyed reading and knitting, especially knitting baby sweaters. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking - especially with Yaz on Saturday nights at the Eel Pot. Elaine also loved to travel to Cape Cod with her family.
Her family would like to thank her aids, Sandy, Cathy, Theresa, Cici and Goldia, and her niece, Mary Zvonkovic, for the care given to Elaine.
She is survived by her children, Linda (George) Wilson of Guilford, Anthony (Teresa) Yasevac and Michael Yasevac, both of Branford; her grandchildren, Corrine and Geoffrey Yasevac of Branford, and her brothers, William Bedard of Sebring, FL and Robert Bedard of Louisville, CO, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her brother Alcide Bedard, Jr., and her sisters, Alice Swenson and Blanche Crowley.
Her funeral will leave the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Thursday morning at 10:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church at 11:00. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the funeral from 9 – 10:30 am.
