John F. "Jack" Wynne, 74, husband of Sandra Torelli Wynne, passed away in Gaylord Hospital on November 6, 2011, surrounded by his family.
He was born July 8, 1937 to the late Bernard and Lillian Janicke Wynne. After serving four years in the U. S. Army, he went to work for the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, retiring after 42 years of service from Metro North Railroad.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 83 in Branford. Jack enjoyed fishing with his son in law, gardening, reading and especially his place in Maine. He was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Lori (Eric) Larson and Wendy Ardizzone of Branford and Sandra (Robert) Walshaw of Colorado. He leaves behind his four cherished grandchildren, Olivia Ardizzone, Michael Ardizzone, Sidney Walshaw and Ben Walshaw. He is also survived by his two sisters, Carol Longley and Patricia Call and one brother William (Mary) Wynne, and many close friends in Maine.
He was predeceased by his sisters Janet Wynne and Barbara Foote, and brothers Bernard, Thomas, and Edward Wynne.

A funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 in the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 – 7 PM.
