Lucille E. King, beloved wife of Richard J. King of Branford, died Tuesday February 4, 2014 at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Mrs. King was born in New Haven April 16, 1941, daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Guarino DeMichele. She had worked for many years as a sales rep at K-Mart until retiring 10 years ago. She adored her children and her grandchildren were the lights of her life, she loved attending their games and recitals. She especially enjoyed her trips to the casino.
Besides her husband she leaves her children, Richard A. "Rick" King and his wife Ellen, David King, Patricia Biondello and Patrick Biondello who was like a son to her, and Deborah King; her grandchildren, Tyler King and Michael Porta, Amber, Megan and Jessica King, Ashley Biondello and her longtime boyfriend Matt Golding, Lauren Biondello and Brittany Butler; her brother Edward DeMichele and his wife Marion, her sisters Carmel Amarante and her husband Andrew, and Rosemary DeMartino. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her grandson Christopher Biondello, and her brothers, Lawrence, Fred, Anthony and Pasquale DeMichele.
Funeral from the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Saturday morning at 8:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church at 9:00. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5 – 8 PM.
