Ronald Kent Barndollar of Guilford, beloved husband of Lisa DePatie, died Monday evening at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Ron was born on May 2, 1950 in Tarentum, PA to the late Robert and Genevieve Giloffi Barndollar and was raised in Loudonville, NY. He spent 35 years as a Special Agent and polygraph examiner for the FBI. Upon retirement from the Bureau in 2007, he launched and operated his private polygraph practice, Credibility Assessment Associates LLC. Ron loved his country, and he enjoyed spending much of his free time reading, writing, and discussing political matters with his friends and family.
Ron officiated high school boys' lacrosse in CT for 25 years, serving as chairman of the Connecticut Lacrosse Officials Association. He was also a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, as well as the Blue Jays of his alma mater, Johns Hopkins University.
In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by his sister, Pam Kilmartin, and her husband John, of Menands, NY; his two sons, Todd and Kyle Barndollar, of Milford; his four step-sons, Jason, Stephen, Joseph, and Andrew DePatie, of Guilford; his niece, Michele Devaney of Sandy Hook; and his nephew, John Kilmartin of Valatie, NY. He was pre-deceased by his twin brother, Donald, in 1950.
Relatives and friends may call Friday evening from 5-8 PM at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 N Main Street, Branford, and are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday morning at 10 AM at St. Margaret Church, 24 Academy Street, Madison. Burial will be private.
