Left us suddenly, but as she always wished on March 27, 2013, Sandra Lee Bacon (Ingraham, Friedman) of Branford.
She leaves her children, Raymond (MaryJane) Ingraham, Jacqueline Wynosky, Robin (Thomas) Butchers, Michael (Amy) Ingraham, Elizabeth Ingraham, Sharon Tomasso, and her "forever son" Joseph Wynosky; siblings, Arthur (Joanne) Bacon, Bert (Kathy) Bacon, Pamela (William) Kane, Greg (Elaine) Bacon, Bruce Bacon, Melanie (James) Bacon; twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and so many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her first love, Leonard F. Ingraham, her life partner, John Mingolello, and her brother Kirk (Karen) Bacon.
She spent her life as a devoted mother and career woman, starting off at Friendly's Restaurant in Cheshire, CT, where she became one of their first female managers, she moved from Friendly's to hostess and manager at Captain's Galley in West Haven. Next stop was Denny's restaurants where she ran stores in Devon, West Haven, and Melbourne, FL. She moved back to Connecticut, where she took on the responsibility of all Denny's Restaurants in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. Her latter portion of her career was with the USS Chowder Pot Restaurants in East Hartford and Branford, where she retired. All during her very busy career she was very involved with her children's and grandchildren's lives, making time to visit as often as possible.
Friends and family may call Sunday April 7th from 1-4 pm, with a Memorial Service at 3 pm, in the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford.
