Susan Dendas Murphy, 56, of Guilford passed away on June 27, 2017 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She had a great love of animals including her horses, dogs, and cats over the years. She would love to travel, especially to Jackson Hole. She was very active in helping with the homeless programs.
Seven and a half years ago she lost her one true love, her husband Raymond Murphy in a tragic car accident. She leaves behind her greatest accomplishment, her son Jamieson Murphy of Guilford, her mother Dorothy Setaro of Branford, her father John Dendas of West Haven, her brothers John Dendas Jr. and his wife Maureen of Branford, Joseph Dendas and his wife Ina of Branford, her sister Bonnie Pascarella and her husband Steven of Guilford, and several nieces and nephews. She was also survived by many close cousins and many friends who all love her.
She also leaves her Golden Retriever, Bear, Wheaton Terrier, Bandit, and cat Willow. Despite everything she tried to live life to the fullest.
A Mass for the Celebration of her life will be held at St. Margaret Church, 24 Academy Street, Madison, CT on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be private. The W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St. Branford is in care of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd.
