Obituary

In Branford April 15, 2005, Thomas Ahearn of Riverview Ave. Branford. Husband of the late Helen Donahue Ahearn. Uncle of Sandra St. Clair of Wildwood, MO. Great-uncle of Dena Imbergamo of Washington D.C. and Scott St. Clair of Raleigh, N.C. Predeceased by sisters Mary Swanson and Alice Conklin. Mr. Ahearn was born in Derby on May 6, 1920, a son of the late Thomas J. and Catherine Mullaney Ahearn. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was a machinist for many years for various nautical machine companies. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth church and a long time resident of Short Beach.
Funeral from the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St. Branford Friday at 9:00 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 at St. Elizabeth Church in Branford. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford. Friends may call prior to the funeral from 8:00 to 9:00.
