Peacefully at home July 19, 2003, Virginia Keyes Allendorf of 129 Foxon Blvd., East Haven. She was the widow of Walter Allendorf, JR.
She was born September 16, 1931 in New Haven, daughter of the late John and Virginia Stanford Keyes. She was a bookkeeper, working for the Knights of Columbus and Button Woods Securities until her retirement in 1989. She was a lifelong animal lover and a member of Save The Animals From Extinction.
She is survived by two sons, Walter Allendorf III and his fiancée Paula, of East Haven, Eric
Allendorf of West Haven, daughter Dawn Corley of Grants Pass, OR., nephew George Benson of West Haven and niece Corrine Reveaux of Branford, and 10 grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by eight brothers and sisters.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6 - 8 pm at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St, Branford. Burial will be private.
