Wilbur C. Watt, 92, of 313 Walden Green Branford died Monday September 6, 2010 at CT Hospice in Branford. He was the husband of the late Angelina Watt.
Mr. Watt was born January 16, 1918 in Stamford, CT, son of the late William and Katherine Lichtinger Watt. He served in the U. S. Navy, as a member of the Scouts and Raiders, in World War II. He worked as an installer/instructor for SNET for 38 years until retiring in 1980.
He was a long time volunteer fireman in Stamford, and he served as an emergency first responder at Travelers Rest in Dade City, FL during the '80's and '90's. He was highly regarded and dearly loved by his family, friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his children Charles J. Watt of New Haven, CT, Katherine M. Watt of Norwalk, CT, Jean M. Watt and Lynn Crevier of Northampton, MA, and Frank M. Belinske of Norwalk, CT; his grandchildren, Frank M. Belinske, Matthew D. Belinske and Krista M. Brown; a sister-in-law, Philomena Troost of Ridgefield, CT and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service, Saturday September 18, 2010 at 1:00 PM, at St. Paul's on the Green in Norwalk, CT.
