William “Bill” Barlow, beloved father and friend passed away peacefully on Christmas Day 2004, with his daughter Andrea and “his girl” Jane at his side.
Born April 24, 1935 in Rochester, MA, son of the late Edward Barlow SR and Frances (Davis) Barlow. He worked as a hotel clerk in his younger years, and prior to retiring, at Nutmeg Steel and Kenyon Marine. He was an avid member of TOPS North Branford, greatly enjoyed going to Canoe Brook Senior Center, attending area Bingo games and sitting on the front porch swing with Joe Joe and talking with neighbors passing by.
Besides his daughter, he is survived by a brother Edward Barlow, JR, his “boy” Joe Joe; best friend Jane AuClaire; special friend/”sister” Judy Caradori and numerous other relatives and friends. He was a selfless, loving and devoted family man, and a kind, loving and generous friend to all. To know him was to love him as he always put others first and used his wonderful sense of humor to always put others at ease.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5:30 - 7:30, with a Memorial Service at 7:00pm, at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Branford.
