New Covid 19 Rules For Funerals

New Covid 19 Rules For Funerals

Effective June 1, 2020, there are new limits regarding the attendance at wakes and funerals.

The capacity for attending a wake, funeral or burial are now up to 100 people at an indoor space and up to 150 people at an outdoor ceremony. The Department of Public Health is still recommending all funeral services be held at the gravesite only.

We at W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home are fully committed to health and safety of the families we serve and our community. We are here to answer any of your questions regarding the services available at this time. With the new guidelines, we are now available for public wakes, contingent upon the practicing of social distancing as has been prescribed. We will have limited amount of people in the funeral home, keeping the six-foot social distancing protocols, and visitors must wear a mask upon entering the building. We would encourage visitors to be brief in their visits, come in, pay respects to the deceased, pay respects to the family and exit the building. We ask that you refrain from any physical interactions as well (no hugging, kissing, handshakes, etc.).

We will continue to be available to you and our community 24 hours a day. As we serve our families, we will be taking every possible precaution and continue to provide excellent care. It is of utmost importance to us as we try to mitigate the effects of this pandemic and limit the amount of disruption to what we know is already and extremely difficult time for families.
